I first met Julia and Telijah during a styled shoot in June of 2023 in the Shenandoah Valley and quickly fell in love with their joy and care for one another. They had just gotten engaged a few months before where they surprised each other by proposing at the same time! Hosted by the Virginia Creative Collective, Julia wore a white 2-piece set with powder blue heels and Telijah wore a French blue ballgown.

Fast forward to September, I received an inquiry from Telijah asking if I would be interesting in being their wedding photographer! My heart jumped out of my chest before I could even finish reading the message! I felt so honored to have been chosen by them to be a part of their celebration.
Later that December, Telijah and Julia officially tied the knot in Georgetown surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a cold and windy Saturday, but that didn't stop us from exploring the Georgetown waterfront and getting the most perfect light for their wedding portraits. They were greeted by many passersby congratulating them and wishing them joy. We also stopped at a few iconic spots including the canal walk and nearby neighborhoods featuring the famous cobblestone streets. Telijah sported a fabulous pink fur coat over her wedding gown!
While we were capturing their portraits, friends and family settled into 1310 Kitchen + Bar awaiting the ceremony. After guests were seated at tables with beautiful arrangements by Darling & Daughters Floral, the ceremony, officiated by the couples' dear friend, Elizabeth Newell, began. The ceremony was beautiful and a mix of smiles and tears were shared by the couple and their guests. Brunch was then served family-style with a mix of entrees, cinnamon buns, and fresh fruit. Mimosas were flowing while the celebration lasted for several hours! It was a perfect day and a beautiful end to my 2023.
